ATEX / Fire protection

Safety above all!

Increasingly, the equipment that operates in places that are classified as potentially explosive atmospheres has very strict and controlled manufacturing and assembly standards. It is very important that we realise that the customer is always the first to be held responsible for the obligation to purchase equipment that complies with this ATEX standard.

As a result of strategic partnerships, JMATOS has an ATEX-certified range of bag/cartridge filters, fans, articulated suction arms, as well as all the elements and accessories such as explosion panels, non-return valves, rotary valves, etc., as well as reliable 100% solutions in ignition and fire detection and extinguishing systems for suction systems.

What does the ATEX symbol mean?

The ATEX directive came into force on 1 July 2003 and is an acronym/abbreviation for “Explosive Atmospheres”. This set of standards and guidelines is the EEC's benchmark for what types of equipment/solutions should be used in atmospheres considered to be potentially explosive.

Why choose ATEX equipment?

It is very important to realise that the customer is always the first to be held responsible for the obligation to purchase equipment that complies with this ATEX standard when operating in potentially explosive atmospheres.
